FAQ

Where did the name come from?

As it says on our story, we're not pretending to be something we aren't. We gave that name to our shoes because actually we don't care about the name. And we think that neither our customers should. We are on the "giving you a great product for a fair price" business.

What do you mean with goodyear welt?

Goodyear welt is one type of shoe construction, it´s usually regarded as the best method for assembling shoes, and it consists of stitching a strip of leather, to the insole and upper of the shoe, as an attach-point for the sole. Then the space enclosed by the welt is filled with cork, and then the outsole is both cemented and stitched to the welt.

Do I need a Pay Pal account?

No, you don’t need an account to use our site.

Why you don't run so many sales like other companies do?

Well I can´t speak for other companies and its strategies, products or prices. But for us this is a business, a business based on making great shoes for a fair price. If we offered promo codes every two months or decided to run sales with every holiday like the Groundhog Day for instance, then we would be out of business in no time, because as I said before we offer a fair price, so there's not much profit to cut. Then again, we could cut prices on the materials or craftsmanship, but then we would not be offering a great shoe.

What do you mean with Planned Obsolesce?

It is a policy which some companies have, in which they will sell a product with a limited useful life, after certain time it will stop working and it will force the customer to buy a replacement and so on.

How do I take care of my shoes?

First of all we strongly recommend using shoe trees after each wear, also you should polish them every so often as to make them shine and build a patina over time, and finally when you think that the leather is a little dry you can apply leather conditioner.

What size should I buy?

Our shoes fit true to size, so you should buy your normal size.
